Let’s discuss the process of erosion.
Have you ever witnessed a flash flood or at least a river gorged with water? With strange adamantine sucking and gurgling, huge chunks of earth break off from the banks. They are quickly dissolved into the raging waters which churn and roar. Yet the bedrock, the solid foundation, makes no sound because it does not move. All the forces of hell could rage against the Rock, and the Rock would still prevail.
Erosion only occurs in materials that are porous. Next time you hear someone bemoaning an erosion of trust or integrity or obedience or respect in something, ask yourself how porous is this thing which is being eroded? Perhaps erosion is the only way to reveal that which is not porous. That which we will be able to know for certain shall never wash away nor perish.
Erode lies, erode.
